During these uncertain times, it is imperative that we are keeping ourselves and our families strong as possible. Our immune system is our internal defense against COVID19 and any other germ that could negatively affect our health. Here are 5 tips to help keep you and your family's immune systems strong.
1. Add Vitamin C to your Diet
Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant and immune system regulator. By adding Vitamin C to
to your diet, you are giving your body extra defense to fight off COVID 19. A boost in Vitamin C can be added to your diet via a plant based supplement or through consuming
foods high in Vitamin C such as kiwis, kale and papayas.
2. Black Seed Oil
Black Seed Oil is a little known gem that has been around for millennia. Hippocrates, the
ancient Greek physician and father of early medicine, recommended black seed oil for
many ailments. Black seed oil presents with a host of antioxidants, B Vitamins and acids
that support and balance the immune system.
3. Limit Processed Sugar Intake
Sugar has a direct effect on the cells of our immune system, specifically the germ fighting
phagocytes. Studies show that 1-2 hours after consuming sugar, the function of these important germ fighting cells are significantly diminished for up to FIVE hours thereafter. Therefore, limit the amount of sugar you and your family are consuming
to ensure you are keeping your germ fighting cells strong.
4. Eat Fermented Foods
When we consume fermented foods, we benefit from their lush variety of bacteria. Studies
are showing that a number of these bacteria activate monocyte cells in our immune
systems. Monocytes are the biggest cell type in the immune system and help to fight off
bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Although it may be tough to laugh during this tumultuous time, your immune system will thank you. It is proven that laughter increases the number of cells in the immune system. Laughter also helps to releases endorphins, your body's natural feel good
chemicals. The more endorphins in your body, the more your immune system can
